On these pages are texts, mostly taken from contemporary accounts, and pictures of some of Jersey's statues and monuments. For one reason or another, Jersey has not been richly endowed with statues - although in recent years there has been more of a trend towards public art.
One of the reasons for the lack of statues is the generally hostile public reaction to most of the public statues - accounts of which can be read in these pages - and to the difficulty of finding suitable sites.
Accounts are kept in the original language: English, French or Jèrriais.
