A Theory on the Evangelisation of the Cotentin (Normany Peninsular):

St MARCOUF

M. Charles Grosset

(Revue du departement de la Manche: Tome 21 - 1979)

Translated from the French by Len Mallalieu and Tony Bellows

St Marcouf (also known as Marculf) was an early missionary saint of Normany. The accounts of his life are merged with that of St. Helier, and this article, while focusing primarily on St Marcouf, also has a number of interesting points to make about the historicity of the legends about St Helier.

More general information about St Helier can be found at Geraint Jenning's site here.
