Thank you to those who attended our December carol practice and celebratory toasts and many thanks were expressed to Ron Smith who provided much Christmas fare for us during his unavoidable absence. We also acknowledged the work and the attractive booklet of useful phrases by Geraint and those members who had made the time and effort to send in their examples to him despite being unable to come to the meetings.

Thank you to Colin and Tony for inviting us to the carol singing in Lé Vièr Marchi; several were able to join in on Sunday morning along with many others from the classes including several children. The atmosphere provided by the French Traders and the public gave us a fine audience and even some participation!

In view of this, as always for this coming year, we would be made very welcome on joining any of the night classes for Jèrriais run by Colin and Geraint, invaluable for learning to speak and write it, and light hearted at the same time.

It was also good to see 'Lé Podîn dé Noué' as an ice cream label in a Supermarket this Christmas, and 'Les Complyîments d'la Saison'on the Jersey Now (Issue 4). If anyone has seen any other examples, please let us know so we can recommend some Crapaud d'Or awards.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, 4th. January at 8.00pm in the Arthur Mourant Room when we can review the year for the 2005 Annual Report for the Bulletin, highlights of our first 10 years, and discuss a programme for the coming year, as well as dip into the Phrase Book to learn some useful ones for future use!
