Welcome to the New Year and century. The Annual Meeting was held on January 12th and with a fine 'soupe au pais' the enclosed report for 1999 was received and the programme for 2000 was amended (see attached). As no other nominations were received, the present committee has agreed to continue. Amendments to the proposed programme included requests for more language practice through reading, recitation, conversation and question and answer sessions at each meeting, and preparation for various events at which we can promote the language. They have been included in the enclosed programme and the language practice will occur each month.

Please keep this programme for reference. The Meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month; 8pm at La Société Jersiaise, 7 Pier Road, unless advised otherwise. Our next meeting is at 8.00pm, February 2nd at the above address for the Jèrriais needed at Hamptonne etc.
