Lillie Langtry, la belle Jèrriaise mênommée “the Jersey Lily”, mouothit à Monaco en 1929 et fut entèrrée dans l'chînm'tchiéthe dé St. Saûveux, la Pâraîsse dé sa jannèche où'est qu'san péthe avait 'té Recteu.
La belle sépultuthe s'trouve à drouaite d'l'églyise contre la muthâle tchi divise lé vièr chînm'tchiéthe d'la nouvelle extension.
The cemetery of St. Saviour is worth a visit to see the sculpted tomb memorial of Lillie Langtry, the Jersey Lily. Appropriately enough, the monument incorporates a Jersey lily. The sculpture depicts Lillie as the fin-de-siecle society beauty - and Royal mistress - of her youth, although the overall style of the monument is more Art Deco - the predominant style at the time of her death. As such, it is another example of Art Deco in Jersey.

Duthant sa vie, Lillie Langtry avait connu d's artistes et oulle avait înspithé tchiques grands peintres - sustout Messire John Everett Millais, l'Jèrriais tchi 'tait iun des Pré-Raphaelites et tchi d'vînt Président d'l'Académie Rouoyale. Lillie et Millais soulaient pâler en Jèrriais entre chîntch' ièrs.
Poynter, Leighton, Whistler, W.P. Frith et Burne-Jones, ieux étout, fîtent des portraits d'la “Jersey Lily”.
Lillie Langtry posed for several of the leading British artists of the late C19th - most notably Millais, a fellow Jèrriais.
