Reminiscences - Jeremy Rothwell

Derek Cottrill was nick-named "Beaky".

John Le Breton is still a Jurat.

Mr Frank Lewis was our famous headporter - I forget which decoration he got (BEM?); also he was Island diving champion in his day .

There is also the great story that at the end of the war he shimmied up the flag poles to retread the rope so the flags could be hung again from College.

I recall a rather famous obituary done by the JEP of Joe Holmes where one discovered just how brave this most modest of teachers had been during the war.
