THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF MEMBERSHIP

1. Do not come to the meetings; if you do, come late. Do not come if the weather does not suit or if you have another engagement of lesser importance.

2. If you attend a meeting find fault with the work of the other Members, but don't offer to help.

3. Never be nominated for a committee. Be annoyed if you are not appointed.

4. If asked for your opinion say nothing. After the meeting tell everyone what should have been done.

5. Do nothing. If other members work, complain the association is being run by a clique.

6. Do not listen to the business and afterwards complain no one ever tells you anything.

7. Vote In favour of something and then do exactly the opposite.

8. Agree with everything that is said at the meeting then disagree outside.

9. Get all the benefits you can from the work of the association but do not contribute anything yourself.

10. If asked to pay your overdue subscription resent such impertinence and tender your resignation.

THE THOUGHTS OF CHAIRMAN WEBB

We may live in the sticks - but we don't spend all of our time climbing trees.
